What we won’t do:

1. Recommend , push or god forbid sell ( LOL ) you on any of the listed sales and marketing options
2. Put advertisements with the sales and marketing information. provided ( But we do have advertisement on the top and the side of the site. hey I got to feed my kids and wife. )
3. Make our opinions known in the listing. Although if you click to the our opinions page, Jeff Cohn our fearless leader ( LOl and we mean it !) will give you his opinion as well as others.
4. Block out , edit, or minimize any one’s opinion. If you have an opinion ( just like rear ends, everyone has one ), just say it and don’t worry what people will say. You’ll be surprised that there are fans of yours waiting to hear from you.

My Bio Page

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for coming to my water damage marketing web site. As I always do, you wonder who the heck some of these folks who claim to be marketing experts. Some of the experts never spent much time in the field or were owners of businesses.

Well, I am an owner of a restoration company called SI Restoration in Baltimore , Maryland for the last 20 years. Matter of fact I still own the company and still actively market for the company. Here’s why I am different from the rest of the marketing guru’s.

I started SI Restoration ( a carpet cleaning, water damage restoration business) in 1989, with $ 25.00 and I am not kidding. I shared an apartment and had to have a job at night, to be able to support myself while I started the business.

Why I did I start with only $ 25.00 ? Because that’s all I had. The rest of the money I made at night had to pall my expenses.

I wanted to start a carpet cleaning business, but I had no equipment, office, warehouse or chemicals. Just $ 25.00 and the lack of common sense.

I decided that I would take the $ 25.00 a buy general cleaning chemicals and ask a couple of small buildings if I could clean their buildings.

They let me clean their buildings and with the money I charged them within 8 months I bought my first carpet cleaning machine. For those in the business I bought a Chemspec Chemstractor, because I was just going to do commercial carpet cleaning.

As time went on, I got rid of the cleaning contracts ( thank god !! ), and went full time commercial carpet cleaning.

My brother joined me and we grew and grew.

Then an interesting thing happened when I was on my blind date with my ex-wife. I got a call for my first water damage. I called an employee who said that are equipment was not appropriate for water damage clean up, and we didn’t have carpet blowers.

To make a long story really short, we didn’t do the job correctly even though we explained to the property manager that we didn’t know what we were doing.

The next week I said to my brother, we should look at getting trained for another water damage in case in happens.

For your connivence, I will spare you the details, but we are a 6.0 million dollar company that offers water damage, fire damage, mold damage restoration including air duct cleaning as well as crime scene clean up.

Was it easy and simple as the business guru’s say it is. No way, and brother excuse me, but threw up for years until we got it straight.

Now I still market everyday all day long.

I am IICRC certified in all aspects of the industry and I have been trained in SEO and digital marketing for our web site. Just to let you know that I went to New York to train at the schools where most of the major corporations get trained.
